Our Story of Trusted HVAC Expertise
John Shepard started Spencer Heat and Air, following in his father's footsteps, who founded the company in 1968. John built a great customer base over time through hard work and dedication. I started working for John in November 2002, straight out of high school. My grandfather worked for the sheet metal union, which sparked my interest in the HVAC industry. I worked my way up through hard work and dedication, loving the satisfaction of seeing customers happy with a job well done.
HVAC is constantly evolving with equipment efficiency, code changes, design innovations, and freon changes. When I started, we had six employees and an office in John's house. Over the years, we built an office building in 2008, expanded to over 10,000 sq ft, and increased from three service trucks to 11, with 26 employees.
Stanley became part owner seven years ago and, as of May 2023, owns 100%. Stanley has added electrical services to the business by bringing in his brother-in-law, Keith Griffith, to operate the electrical side. Our vision has evolved over the last 6-7 years to become a recognized brand in Oklahoma. Still, our core values remain the same: to provide the best experience possible and treat everyone well. We are locally owned and operated, and I even built a home next to the property to stay close.
